Computer Science and Engineering Department
       
CSE Department is the most versatile department of the college and caters to the needs of other departments as well. The department aims at developing the fundamental conceptual knowledge which helps computer engineers to face the challenges of a rapidly changing software industry. Technical skills, teamwork and specialized knowledge prepare these young engineers to adopt and continuously learn new technologies.Online research papers , journals and other study material can be accessed by the students using DELNET facility.

Electronics and Communication Engineering Department
       
ECE Department has an excellent reputation for both its teaching and research. The department has well qualified  staff members, with both academic and industrial experience, as well as a number of specialist visiting lecturers.The department aims to impart quality technical education to the students aspiring for a career in the field of Electronics and Communications Engineering. The department also caters to the needs of other Engineering disciplines where electronics is taught either as an essential or an elective subject.The department has well equipped laboratories in related fields and students are exposed to various modern equipment in the area of electronics and communication.

Objectives:

Continued expansion and diversification of various laboratories.
Strengthening of research and project development.
Development of faculty which will draw the best graduate students, thus increasing our quality, visibility, and desirability as a place to study electronics and communication engineering.
An ability to apply design processes discipline which will allow students to provide resourceful and innovative engineering solutions.
Work closely with the Office of Institutional Advancement for soliciting and increasing ECE endowments.

Examination

The Examination division of the university shall conduct Examination for the regular students who have undergone a regular course of study in the university or an Institution/College affiliated to the university  three times during the semester. The first terminal test will be conducted approximately at the end of the 6th week, second at the end of 12th week and third and final semester Examination will be held after the 17th week of teaching or for a period specified for a course of study in the curriculum. The schedule of Examination shall be notified by this duration from time to time.

End Semester Examination

Besides the Semester System, the University follows Credit based Evaluations. A student has to maintain 75% attendance to appear for an Examination. The students have to undergo regular internal assessments and extensive project work.
The Examination system has been computerized fully. The University is also preparing its own Question Bank to eliminate dependency on external paper setters and ensure adherence of Examination schedule.

A minimum weightage of 30% will be given to the two terminal tests and 50% to the end semester Examination. The system of assessing the students for the remaining 20% will be notified from time to time.

Practical subjects will carry a weightage of 60% of marks for the tests and 40% for the end semester Examination.

Examination & Evaluation Centres

All the affiliated institutions are actively involved in the smooth, efficient and timely conduct of Examination. Some of them have also taken the lead in accepting the onerous task of getting the answer scripts of certain academic programmes evaluated and thus enabling the University in the declaration of results as per preannounce schedule.

Every year, Entrance Tests are conducted for admission to various Programmes of the University for its University Teaching Schools and it's Affiliated Institutes. The details may be obtained by clicking on the university website.

Admissions:

Common Entrance Test (CET)

The admissions to various programmes in the University is based on merit a candidate attains in the CET. The Admission process is taken care of in an expeditious, systematic and transparent manner. A hassle-free CET process has been evolved. A prospective candidate –immediately on the submission of the Application Form – is issued his/her Roll Number, Examination Center, Date and Time of Examination etc. via a single window system. The results are declared as per fixed schedule to facilitate time bound counseling.
