At Present Delhi has various reputed Engineering Institutes like IIT, DCE, NSIT and Govt. / Private Institutes affiliated to GGSIP University. To cater to the need of technical education due to growth of manpower, AIT was started during 2001-2002 with 30 intakes in each ECE and CSE branch. On batch has already passed during 2005 with excellent campus placement, it is envisaged that more technical manpower will be required. Therefore it is proposed to increase the present strength of each branch from 30 to 60. Due to high growth of population a number of Multi National Companies have come up in and around Delhi. To cater the needs of these industries large technical manpower is required. The college is catering to more than 30 Lakhs of population of Trans-Yamuna area which didn't have an independent Engineering college.
